Danu's Stallion

I did this in 2009. Centaurs are hard to do and do right, it's a proportions thing. I think this one came out well and flows from man to horse well. Everything in this picture is based on historicaly correct details, the sword, armband, torque and spiral woding are all authentic. The waterfall in the background is actualy a real one in Ireland. Danu was the Celtic Mother Goddess, the horse and water are both her symbols. Done in Acrylic and watercolor colored pencil on Canson board. The blank corners are because this was done to fit an odd shaped frame and the whole picture is what you see, the corners are just formating for the scan. Prints available.
